Kinsey and Nathan booked us for their vintage and modern wedding at Mackay Gardens in Lake Alfred, Florida. We had our initial consultation at a local Starbucks to get to know each other and instantly knew they were one of the kindest peeps around. We kept in touch throughout the year, especially once COVID hit.
When we arrived at Mackay Gardens on the wedding day, we found Nathan scrambling to finish setting up. We honestly weren’t sure how it would all fall into place, but we couldn’t believe how beautiful everything turned out. We were so happy to have been there and to now have some pretty bomb friends. Here’s their story…
HOW THEY MET
"We met working at the Panera Bread across the street from USF in 2013. I (Kinsey) had an instant crush and he (Nathan) barely acknowledged my existence. We both dated other people for a couple of years and then eventually we found our way together in 2015."
"We were in New York City for my birthday. It was a Monday afternoon and we had spent the morning at the Natural History Museum, working up an appetite. As soon as we left, my priority was getting a hot dog. Nathan wanted to take a leisurely stroll through Central Park on the way back to our hotel before we got ready for dinner and a show later. I really wanted a hot dog. As we walked through, Nathan seemed very particular about where we went, and it turns out he was looking for a specific spot we had found a couple of days earlier. When we got to that spot, it was too crowded for his liking, so we kept walking. I kept looking for a hot dog. Eventually, we stopped on a shady sidewalk and he said, “You really ruined my plans for this,” and pulled the ring out of his pocket. After a couple of tearful pictures and kisses, we left the park and I got a hot dog."
All the vendors at this wedding came together to create such a gorgeous day. Here is a glimpse into Kinsey and Nathan's vintage and modern Mackay Gardens Wedding.
