Kaitlyn + Shiloh’s love story started on Bumble. After one conversation, they found themselves having a four-hour dinner together. Quickly they fell in love and were engaged on October 27th, 2019 at the gazebo in one of their favorite parks, Heritage Park.
They then found + hired us for their engagement + wedding photos.
Then came COVID-19. We quickly set up a time + day to chat with Kaitlyn to see what their plans now were. They had decided to cut their wedding day in half; having the ceremony in 2020 and the reception in 2021. But, we didn’t want them to get married without any type of celebration afterward. So, we suggested having a little “wedding celebration picnic” for after the ceremony. Kaitlyn loving the idea, we set to planning! The celebration picnic would be during their bride + groom portraits at the park they got engaged. Kaitlyn already had most of the decor and ordered some pastries from one of their favorite bakeries. How romantic?!
Their wedding day was filled with so many sweet moments. Like her virtual first look with her grandma + her neighbors of 25 years having a driveway first look. We’re so happy for these two and can’t wait to dance the night away with them in 2021! Here are some of our favorites from their day + wedding celebration picnic.
Are you planning your wedding during the pandemic? Do you want to just get married, but also want the party you’ve always dreamed of? Why not split it in two? Most photographers will be flexible and work with this option. This way, you can marry the love of your life on your original date + still get to party like there’s no tomorrow on another date.
If your photographer is no longer available due to COVID, feel free to contact us. We’d love to work with you :))
